  • Würth Canada is seeking a District Sales Manager, someone who is a strategic sales thinker and has a passion for coaching, managing and developing a team of Sales representatives. The manager will be responsible for the Vancouver/lower mainland area in BC.  We are looking for someone who shares company values such as achievement, honesty, integrity, mutual respect and responsibility. In line with these values, the incumbent is expected to lead by example, be a strategic and influential partner within our internal teams to foster a values-driven high performance culture.
  • Someone with the ability to inspire a sales team to be number ONE and put a focus on customer retention and growth potential.

Reporting to the Sales Director - West, the District Sales Manager responsibilities will include:

  • Effectively manage, coach and motivate a team of Sales Representatives;
  • Objectively set sales and KPI targets, based on company guidelines and where applicable;
  • Effectively work with, support the Divisional marketing plan, and work in collaboration with the internal departments (i.e.: Marketing, Product, Training, Back Office, etc.);
  • Effectively identify future opportunities for growth within the district;
  • Educate and support Sales Representatives with Route Planning & Speedy Touch training;
  • Appropriately deal with business situations and/or challenges with team members and customers;
  • Effectively support and identify hiring needs and performance plans for Sales Representatives as required;
  • Responsible to be actively involved in the recruitment process of all new Sales Representatives;
  • Effectively train Sales Representatives on their key responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Degree or diploma in Business, or related subject;
  • Minimum of 3+ years in a similar capacity; hiring, coaching/developing and leading sales professionals;
  • A high level of alignment with the company’s Corporate Values;
  • Highly analytical and influential to drive a high level of performance within the district;
  • Drive and energy as well as the ability to manage conflicting priorities and pressures;
  • Self-motivated with the desire to succeed while inspiring others;
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and coaching skills and demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all level of the organization internally and externally;
  • Strong organization skills and ability to balance project work with urgent day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • A strong aptitude for change management;
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications, in addition to experience using CRM systems;
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, and a clear driver’s abstract;
  • Should live within the Edmonton and have the ability to travel with in the district and nationally, and work outside normal business hours as required. Roughly 2-4 nights per month out of town.
